Do you support holding all future PP elections here?
PP elections
A party decision has to be made regarding the PP elections. Last elections the party was so close to getting PTO'ed. In response, Wilhelm made this proposal
The poll will run for 48 hours.
Wilhelm Gunter wrote:Because of the desire of (a) certain individual(s) who like to PTO us, I propose that all future PP elections be held here... sort of.
We run a 48 hour poll, here on the forum, with all party members invited (via PM). Only Party Members will be allowed to vote. This would entail (a) the forum admins ensuring that the vote set up is only open to those who have been masked as Party Members and (b) no new Party Member masks are given out in the - 3 days (?) - prior to the vote.
Then the winner of that vote will be the SOLE candidate ingame, so we don't split votes like we have tonight between Curtis L and Greenhawk. This won't guarantee that we can prevent a PTO, but it will help cut down on the odds of it succeeding and make it more trouble for the one who is trying to buy/scam votes.
The poll will run for 48 hours.

Re: PP elections
Wilhelm has declared in-game for PP, so I assume he wants to run. Is anyone else a contender?

Re: PP elections
Yes, I have declared in game - I do plan to run for the leadership.
If you check now, I am not currently listed as running in game - because I was asked as CAF member to move out of Canada and fight in the RW to claim back Nfld!
I will declare in game again, closer to the date. The party advertising coffers will get 4 Gold out of me this month!

Gunter, your time has come ;_;
If only we had elected you over Acacia that one time, IF ONLY, maybe things would be different

Re: PP elections
Ok... so, the Poll is now closed. We will be 'electing' our next PP here on the forum.
Now we just need more hats thrown into the ring - who might be interested?
I have already declared my intentions.
In order to have a 48 hour poll which would conclude on the 14th, it would need to start on the 12th (duh!). So, with today being the 9th, we have really just 2 more days - the 10th and the 11th for candidates to declare. So, I'm asking Aeriala, Exalted, or GreenHawk to set this up, please.
*****
Also, I plan to use the party org (and not my citizen account so as to keep the PP elections free of bias) to send out a party wide PM indicating 2 things:
Inviting all party members to join the forums and get masking in order to vote, explaining the rationale for having our PP elections on the forum. And two, if they want to declare their intention to run for PP, they must also do this.
Any objections? Should I also release an ingame article, in the Party Magazine about this? Or is the PM good enough? Thoughts?

The PM is good enough, it'll reach the people that need to know.
AND I AM READY TO ANNOUNCE MY PLANS TO...
Vote for you.

Re: PP elections
I can't post in the Privy Council section so... what is the protocol for suddenly becoming PP? Sell to the highest bidder? Change the name to something obscene? I feel a bit out of my element here...
Seriously, if you need anything from me just let me know.

The poll has to close before the 13th to allow some time for the winning candidate to declare ingame.

Actually, as far as PP's go, it is my understanding that you can declare right up until 23:59 on the 14th. This was how JB won the PP a few months ago, when it was supposed to be me vs. Addy.
Unless the admins changed that in the last few months....

Re: PP elections
Actually, to play it safe, all candidates may should declare in game well in advance, and then withdraw their names if they don't win the internal poll.

Why do you have access to the party org?Wilhelm Gunter wrote:Ok... so, the Poll is now closed. We will be 'electing' our next PP here on the forum.

Re: PP elections
Green Hawk gave me the password back during the Congressionals, so I could have access to funds & MT's for our SVT.

Also; like I've said serveral times, all the PP or SVT leader needs to do is ask and PWM will send over gold to help.

Yes it was me. During the last Congress elections I donated 13 gold to the SVT Org.
Very helpful too

Allow the candidates at least one day from the poll close date to declare in-game
